THE AMERICAS

Felix Rappaport has been named President and Chief Executive Officer for Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. He is the former President at the Mirage, the Luxor, and the Excalibur.

Michael Fuerstman has joined Pendry Hotels as Co-founder and Creative Director. He was most recently with Montage Hotels & Resorts as Director of Acquisitions and Development.

Lance Thompson has been named Area Director of Operations for Montage Hotels & Resorts in Montana. He was most recently with Timbers Resorts as Director of Hospitality and Resort Operations and General Manager for the Sebastian in Vail. Thompson is the former Vice President of Operations for the Plumpjack Group in San Francisco. He had previously spent six years with Auberge Resorts in various roles for the Calistoga Ranch, the Esperanza Resort and the Lodge at Cordevalle.

Ben Tutt has come full circle with his new post at the Lodge at Vail as General Manager. His father had previously run the hotel along with two aunts and an uncle who had worked at the hotel in the 1970s. Tutt was most recently the General Manager of La Posada de Santa Fe and had previously overseen the Reefs Resort & Club in Bermuda and the Wyndham Martineau Bay Resort and Spa.

Robert Friedl has been promoted to General Manager at the Sebastian Vail Timbers Resorts. He had joined the resort last years as Assistant General Manager. Friedl is the former Resort Manager at the Residences at Kapalua Bay and Director of Operations for the Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences Kapalua Bay.

Scott Wallace has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Palmas Services at Walt Disney World Florida. He joined the company in 2008 as Vice President. Wallace is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center and the Wyndham Westshore Hotel in Tampa.

Eugenia Simons has been appointed Complex General Manager at The Gates of Key West. She was most recently the General Manager at the NYLO New York (the former On The Avenue Hotel). Simons is the former Hotel Manager of the Eventi and Director of Operations at the W Hoboken Hotel & Residences.

Mark Andrew has been named General Manager of the Semiahmoo Resort Golf Spa. He was most recently the Regional Vice President and General Manager at the Fairmont Washington, D.C. He is the former Regional Vice President and General Manager at the Fairmont Vancouver.

Christopher Garcia is now in New Orleans as General Manager for the Omni Royal Crescent. He was most recently in San Diego as Resort Manager for the Omni La Costa. Garcia is the former Director of Operations at the Omni Providence and Director of Rooms for the Omni Los Angeles.

Larry Magor has been named Managing Director at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. He was most recently the General Manager of the Omni Dallas. Magor is the former General Manager of the Omni Mount Washington Resort, the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa and the Wyndham Bermuda Resort & Spa.

Aaron Black has been named General Manager to oversee the Portland Harbor Hotel, the Diamond’s Edge Restaurant & Marina and The Inn at Diamond Cove in Maine. He was most recently the General Manager at Topnotch. Black is the former Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons St. Louis and Director of Rooms of the Four Seasons Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto.

Sean Castady has been named General Manager for the Charmant Hotel in Wisconsin. He was most recently in Laguna Beach as Assistant General Manager for the Pacific Edge Hotel. Castady is the former Rooms Division Manager at the Hotel Erwin.

Robert Arthur has been appointed General Manager at the Ivy Hotel in Baltimore. He is the former General Manager of the Cohasset Harbor Resort, the Inn of The Five Graces and the Wilcox.

Brendan Carlin has been named General Manager at the Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito. He is the former General Manager at the Joule Dallas, the Hotel Jerome, and the Mosaic Hotel.

Colleen Huther has been named General Manager of the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Hotel & Resort in Southern California. She was most recently overseeing the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Maryland.

Duncan Hogarth has been named General Manager at the Madeline Hotel and Residences in Telluride. He was most recently the Managing Director of Rosewood Little Dix Bay.

Matthew Mackenzie has been named General Manager of the Algonquin Resort in St. Andrews. Mackenzie was previously the General Manager of the Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa. He is the former General Manager at the Banff Center and the Atlantica Hotel & Marina Oak Island.

Alexandre de Brouwer has been named General Manager for the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta (the former Dreams Puerto Vallarta) scheduled to reopen this month. He was most recently at the Dreams Cancún Resort & Spa as General Manager.

Denise Santos has been appointed Hotel Manager at the Hilton San Juan. Most recently, Santos was the Director of Sales and Marketing at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Juan until her recent promotion to Hotel Manager of the property.

Shaun O’Bryan has moved to El Encanto in Santa Barbara as Resort Manager. He was most recently serving in the same post at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. O’Bryan is the former Director of Rooms at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco.

Matthew Hoffman has joined the Four Seasons Residence Club in Carlsbad as Resort Manager. He was most recently with the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills as Director of Rooms Division.

Antonio Recillas is now in Los Cabos at Maravilla as Director of Operations. He had previously overseen food and beverage at The Address in Dubai and the St. Regis Saayidat Island. Recillas is the former Director of Food and Beverage at Fisher Island and the Mandarin Oriental Miami.

Elaine Flegert has been named Director of Residences at the Mandarin Oriental Boston. She had previously served in similar roles with Mediate Management and the Four Seasons Boston.

James Zaratin has been named Director of Residences at the Ritz-Carlton Boston. He was most recently a Portfolio Property Manager at First Realty Management in Boston.

Amanda Hess has joined the Madeline Hotel and Residences as Director of Residence Services. For the past two years, she had served as Residential Services Manager at the St. Regis Deer Valley.

Stephen Miano has joined Commune Hotels & Resorts in San Francisco as Chief Financial Officer. For the past seven years, he had been with Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, most recently as Vice President, Finance. He had previously spent ten years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in finance roles in Washington, D.C. and Hong Kong.

Eric Hession takes on the new post of Chief Financial Officer for Caesars Entertainment, succeeding Donald Colvin, who is retiring from the company at the end of the year. The Cornell graduate joined the company in 2002 and was most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Treasurer.

Tiffany Rose has been appointed Senior Vice President for Legal and Compliance at Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific in Australia. She had previously been with Motorola Mobility in California as Lead Counsel for Global Operations and Strategy.

Fernando Silva has joined Rosewood at Baha Mar in the Bahamas as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently overseeing food and beverage at the Resorts World Bimini. He had previously served as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage at the Buccament Bay Resort and the Vila Vita Parc.

Adam Greiner has joined Greenwood Hospitality in Denver as Corporate Director of Food and Beverage Operations. He was most recently in Pittsburgh as General Manager for Lidia Bastianich’s Lidia’s Italy. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Chatham Bars Inn and the Greenbrier.

The Melrose Georgetown Hotel has named Rodolfo Campos Director of Food and Beverage. Most recently, Campos was General Manager for the District Grill Restaurant in the Four Points by Sheraton Washington, D.C.

Tim Arnold has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. He was most recently the Director of Operations for Levy Restaurants at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. Arnold is the former Area General Manager for China Grill Management in Miami.

Jocelyn Kraus has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. She was most recently serving as Director of Food and Beverage at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. Kraus is the former Resort Manager for the Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Phoenix.

Carlos de la Barra is now in Mexico as Director of Food and Beverage at the Resort at Pedregal. He had previously overseen food and beverage for the Bulgari Resort Bali, the Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur and the Atlantis The Palm Dubai.

Tim Flowers has joined the One Group for STK Restaurants as Director of Operations. He was most recently serving as Director of Food and Beverage at the Montage Deer Valley. He is the former General Manager of Michael Mina‘s Stonehill Tavern in the St. Regis Monarch Beach and Bourbon Steak in Miami and Scottsdale.

Alissa Conte has joined the ONE Group as Director of Operations. She was most recently with the Hakkasan Group as Director of Operations – New Projects.

Estelle Lacroix is now in Santa Monica as Director of Food and Beverage at the Fairmont Miramar. She was most recently the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Hotel Bel-Air. Lacroix had previously served as General Manager of the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Cornell graduate Bruce Tatusko has been named Lead Project Manager at Faithful+Gould. He is the former Project Management Consultant for Strategic Hotels & Resorts, CenterCal Properties, and Walt Disney Imagineering.

Claudia Campos has joined the Beverly Hills Hotel as Director of Human Resources. She had previously served as Director of Human Resources the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain before moving into her most recent role at the resort as Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms Division. She is the former Director of Human Resources at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay and the Ritz-Carlton Phoenix.

Rachal Batiste has been appointed Director of Human Resources at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta. For the past two years, she had served as Director of Human Resources at the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta. Batiste is the former Assistant Director of Human Resources of the Marriott World Center Orlando and the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans.

Dustin Guzmán has moved to the Innovative Dining Group in Los Angeles as Vice President Human Resources. He was most recently with Sprinkles as Vice President of Talent. Guzmán had previously held similar roles for Starr Restaurants and McCormick and Schmick’s.

Laura Martinez has been promoted to People Services Director and joined the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach. She was most recently the Assistant Director of People Services for the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

Santiago Carmona has been named Director, Global Accounts at FRHI Hotels & Resorts in New York. He was most recently serving as Vice President, Corporate Development for ALPFA.

Hubert Sowka has been appointed Director, Global Accounts, at FRHI Hotels & Resorts in Toronto. He was most recently Director of Sales at L’Hotel du Collectionneur Arc de Triomphe Paris.

Jim Cone has been appointed Senior Vice President of Marketing at Loews Hotels & Resorts in New York. He was most recently with Hilton Worldwide as Vice President, Global Customer Promotions.

Charles Black has been named Executive Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Development, for Hilton & Hyland in Beverly Hills. The Cornell graduate was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Montage Beverly Hills.

Katherine Beja-McLennan has been named Regional Associate Director of Sales and Marketing for the Morgans Hotel Group in Miami. For ten years, she had served as Director of Catering, Conference Services and Special Events at the Delano.

Teresita Meadows has joined the Morgans Hotel Group as Regional Account Director. She was most recently serving as Sales Manager at the Four Seasons Costa Rica, based in New York. She is the former Senior Sales Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach.

Sion Edwards has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. He was most recently the Director of Sales at the Fairmont San Francisco.

Patrick Cook has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Swissôtel Chicago. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the InterContinental Chicago O’Hare.

Stephanie Happ has been appointed Complex Director of Sales and Marketing at The Gates of Key West. She was most recently at the River Terrace Inn in Napa as Director of Sales and Marketing. Happ is the former Director of Sales for the Ocean Key Resort and Spa.

The Hyatt Regency New Brunswick has appointed Chris Howard Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served as Associate Director of Sales at the Hyatt Regency Orange County and the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. Most recently, Howard was Director of Group Sales for the Grand Hyatt Seattle and the Hyatt Olive 8.

The Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa has named Carissa Smith Director of Sales and Marketing. Since 1995 she had been with the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown most recently as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Art Fasano has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of Group Sales at the Doubletree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando.

Michael Willson has been promoted to Director of Sales at the Public Chicago. He joined the hotel in 2012 as Associate Director of Sales and had previously served in sales positions with the Swissôtel Chicago and the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower.

Dawn Walzak has been appointed Director of Sales at the Hilton Orlando. For the past seventeen years, she had been with Tishman Hotels.

Georgina Godoy has returned to the Grand Velas Riviera Maya, taking on the post of Director of Sales. She had previously served the resort as Tour and Sales Manager from 2010 to 2012 before taking on her most recent role as Sales Manager for the opening of NIZUC Resort & Spa in Cancún.

Kirk Howard has been appointed Director of Catering and Conference Services for the Omni Orlando Championsgate. He was most recently serving as Senior Director of Catering and Convention Services at the Hyatt Regency Chicago and is the former Director of Catering of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.

Jesse Hansen has been promoted to Executive Chef and joined the Four Seasons Westlake Village. For the past five years, he had served as Executive Sous Chef at the Four Seasons Scottsdale. He is the former Banquet Chef at the Four Seasons San Francisco and Executive Sous Chef at the Four Seasons Toronto.

Sébastien Archambault has joined the Park Hyatt New York as Executive Chef, replacing Sam Hazen. Archambault was most recently with the Park Hyatt Washington, D.C. as Executive Chef for the Blue Duck Tavern. He is the former Executive Chef at L’Epicerie in Culver City and the Andaz West Hollywood.

Jaco Smith has been promoted to Executive Chef at the Joule Hotel in Dallas. He was most recently serving as Executive Sous Chef. He is the former Executive Sous Chef for the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis and Chef de Cuisine with the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation.

The Andaz 5th Avenue has appointed Michael Santoro Executive Chef. He was most recently the Owner and Executive Chef of the Mildred Restaurant in Philadelphia.

Mark Levy has been appointed Executive Chef at the Ivy Hotel. Most recently, he had served as Executive Chef at the Point in the Adirondacks.

Nita Lake Lodge has named Dean Hossack Executive Chef. He is the former Executive Chef at the Okanagan Golf Club and the Kelowna Yacht Club.

Nick Koonz has been appointed Director of Rooms at Omni Hotel at CNN Center. He is the former Director of Operations at the Hyatt Atlanta Perimeter Center at Villa Christina.

Simon Lewis has joined the Riviera Country Club in Brentwood as Executive Chef. He was most recently at Joël Robuchon at The Mansion in Las Vegas as Chef de Cuisine.

Jason Niederkorn is now the Executive Sous Chef for the Hotel Jerome. He had joined the resort earlier this year as Chef de Cuisine. He was previously the Executive Chef at the Ricard Brasserie in Snowmass Village.

Christopher Kapatais is now in Florida as Director of Restaurants at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes. He was most recently in the same role with the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey. Kapatais is the former Director of Restaurants at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.

Thierry Lemercier has been named Director of Front Office at the St. Regis Deer Valley. He was most recently serving as Head Butler and Duty Manager with the St. Regis Bora Bora and is the former Head Butler of the St. Regis Aspen.

Jami Kraus has been appointed Director of Front Office at Le Méridien Delfina Santa Monica. She is the former Director of Front Office for the Omni Severin and the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa.

 

EUROPE

Mirko Aru has joined the Armani Milano as General Manager. He is the former Hotel Manager at The Address Dubai Marina and Resident Manager for the Constance Lemuria Seychelles.

Michel Cottray has joined the Le Méridien Etoile Paris as General Manager. For the past three years, he had served as Complex General Manager of the Westin and Romanos Costa Navarino.

Bernard Murphy has been promoted to Managing Director at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, taking over from Patrick Elsmie. Murphy was most recently serving the resort as General Manager.

Oliver Brown has been named General Manager at Wivenhoe House Hotel. He was most recently the General Manager at the Flemings Hotel Mayfair in London. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower.

Nicolas Kipper has been named General Manager at the London Marriott Park Lane. He is the former General Manager of the Moscow Marriott Grand Hotel and the Marriott Tverskaya.

Thierry Durand has joined the Hotel du Parc in Brussels as General Manager. He was most recently the Owner and Managing Director of the Wine Agency in Brussels and the former Vice President Sales & Distribution with Conrad Hotels.

Thomas Kleber has been appointed General Manager and Area General Manager Switzerland, at the Steigenberger Grandhotel Belvédère in Davos. He had previously overseen the Park Hotel Vitznau and Brenner’s Park-Hotel & Spa.

Maud Dick has been named General Manager at the Hôtel des Galeries and the Hôtel St-Christophe La Baule in Brussels. Dick was most recently overseeing the Nevaï and Kings Park hotels in Verbier for two years.

Fernando Portal has been named General Manager for the Alanda Hotel Marbella. He had previously served as pre-opening General Manager at the Aloha Hill Club Marbella in Spain.

Alex Caetano has been promoted Operations Manager at the Park Plaza Victoria London. He was most recently the Rooms Division Manager and the former Front of House Manager/Executive Housekeeper at the Holiday Inn London Regents Park.

Federico Costerbosa has been appointed Head of Global Strategy and Corporate Development at InterContinental Hotels in the UK. He was most recently with the Boston Consulting Group as a Partner and Managing Director.

Christian Prange has been appointed Director of Sales at the Swissôtel Dusseldorf/Neuss. He was most recently Area Sales Manager for Marriott Hotels.

Antonio Guida has been appointed Executive Chef at the Mandarin Oriental Milan. He is the former Executive Chef for Il Pellicano in Tuscany. He is the former Chef de Cuisine at La Terrazza Hotel Eden.

Philippe Jourdin has returned to the Terre Blanche Hotel and Spa in his previous role of Executive Chef. He had previously served as Executive Chef for seven years when the resort was the Four Seasons Provence at Terre Blanche. Jourdin was most recently the Executive Chef for the 
Royal Palm Marrakech Hotel Resort Golf and Spa. He had previously served as Executive Chef at La Réserve in Geneva and Corporate Executive Chef for the group.

 

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Sanjiv Hulugalle has taken on the post of General Manager for the opening of the Four Seasons O’ahu at Ko Olina, the former JW Marriott Ihilani Resort, slated to reopen after renovation in late 2015. He was most recently the opening General Manager of the Four Seasons Beijing. Hulugalle is the former General Manager of the Four Seasons Maldives Kuda Huraa and Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Damascus.

Florian Riedel has been promoted at the Four Seasons Hualalai to General Manager and Vice President Operations. He was most recently serving as the Resort Manager. He is the former Regional Director of Residences based at the Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara.

Kelly Hoen takes on the role of General Manager at the Modern Honolulu, taking over from Gerald Glennon. Hoen was most recently serving as General Manager for the Royal Hawaiian. She is the former General Manager of the Princeville Resort on Kauai and the Kapalua Bay Hotel on Maui. Glennon has moved with the company to the newly created position of Director Emeritus and Senior Advisor.

Gary Warnock has been appointed General Manager at the Dorsett Grand Chengdu. He was most recently the General Manager of the Westin Resort Macau.

Thomas Reupke has been appointed General Manager of the Swissôtel Le Concorde Bangkok. He is the former General Manager for the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi and Discovery Hotels & Resorts in Indonesia.

Stephen Fewell has been appointed General Manager at the Swissôtel Beijing, Hong Kong Macau Center. He was most recently the General Manager for the Langham Place Hotel Beijing. He is the former General Manager at the Swissôtel Kunshan and the Swissôtel Sochi.

Jean-Marc Michel has been named General Manager at Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort – Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia. The Lausanne graduate is the former General Manager at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort, Le Mirador Kempinski Lake Geneva and the Constance Ephelia Resort Seychelles.

Mael Vastine has been appointed General Manager of the OZO Wesley Hong Kong. He was most recently the Resident Manager of the Ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan Hotel. Vastine is the former General Manager of the Ibis Beijing Sanyuan.

Elias Pertoft has been named General Manager of the Maikhao Dream Villa Resort and Spa in Phuket. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Turtle Inn in Belize.

Mark Heywood has been appointed General Manager of the New World Manila Bay Hotel. For the past five years, he had served as Area General Manager and General Manager at the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel.

Marco Zanolari is transferring to the Four Seasons Maui as Resort Manager. He was most recently serving as Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Miami and is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Doha and the Beverly Wilshire.

Richard Margo is now the Hotel Manager at the Amari Phuket. He was most recently with the Amari Orchid Pattaya as Resident Manager. Margo is the former Director of Operations at the Hilton Kuching and Batang Ai Longhouse Resort and the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa.

Julian Wipper has been appointed Resident Manager at the Kowloon Shangri-La. He was most recently with the Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen as Resident Manager. Wipper is the former Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage at the Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong.

Milan Drager has been named Resident Manager at the Shangri-La Sydney. He is the former Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage at the Tokyo Shangri-La and Assistant Director of Food and Beverage for the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Drager previously served as Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage at the Mandarin Oriental San Francisco.

Firas Sharrouf has been appointed Resident Manager at the Jumeirah Dhevanafushi in the Maldives. He is the former Front Office Manager at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.

Nelson Tan has been appointed Resident Manager at the Carlton Hotel Singapore. He had previously served as Director of Business Development for the Hilton Beijing, and both the Conrad Dalian and Hilton Dalian.

Stéphane Massarini has been appointed Executive Assistant Manager at the St. Regis Bora Bora. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage at La Réserve Genève Hotel and Spa. He is also the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Crowne Plaza Fukuoka and InterContinental Manza Beach Resort.

Jacques Varet has been named Executive Assistant Manager for the Constance Hotels Experience in the Maldives. He is the former Resident Manager at La Residence d’Angkor in Cambodia.

The Regent Singapore has promoted Alessandro Baccarelli to Director of Food and Beverage. He joined the hotel in 2012 as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage and had previously overseen food and beverage at the Four Seasons Florence.

Elie Houbeich has joined the Westin Beijing Financial Street as Director of Food and Beverage. Houbeich has previously served in the same role with the Wanda Vista and the Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay.

Katie Mitchell has been named Director of Marketing for the Four Seasons Seoul. She was most recently overseeing sales and marketing for the Four Seasons Sydney. Mitchell is the former Director of Marketing at the Manele Bay and Lodge at Koele hotels.

The Four Seasons Sydney has promoted Simon Barnett to Director of Marketing, taking over from Katie Mitchell. For the past two years, Barnett had been serving as Director of Sales. He is the former Director of Marketing for the Jumeirah Essex House and the Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Lowndes Hotel in London.

The Pan Pacific Singapore has appointed Elaine Kum Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently with the Singapore Marriott as Director of Marketing.

Nicole Pasqual has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. She was most recently with Toga Far East Hotels as Group Director of Sales.

Paul Cutler has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Outrigger on the Lagoon and Castaway Island in Fiji. His most recent position was as the Australia-based Sales and Marketing Manager for Fiji’s Nanuku Resort and Spa.

Chanelle Garvey has been appointed Sales and Marketing Director at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit. She was most recently managing the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.

Petero Manufolau has been appointed Director of Sales at Outrigger on the Lagoon. He is the former Marketing Manager of the South Pacific Tourism Organization.

Mak Kip Fu has been appointed Executive Chef at the Conrad Macao’s Dynasty 8 restaurant. He had previously served in culinary roles at Zi Yat Heen in Macao, Yan Ting in Singapore and T’ang Court in Hong Kong.

Axel Godefroid has joined the Wynn Macau as Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Sous Chef for the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. He had previously served in chef positions with the Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Singapore and the Monarch Dubai.

The Conrad Koh Samui has appointed Woothigrai Mungjit Executive Chef. He was most recently with the Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach Resort as Director of Culinary.

Michael Zachman is now in Hawaii at the Fairmont Orchid as Executive Sous Chef. He was most recently Executive Sous Chef with the Ritz-Carlton Dorado in Puerto Rico. Zachman had previously served in sous chef positions at the Nines in Oregon and the Four Seasons Jackson Hole.

Eddy Dhenin has joined the Four Seasons Bali as Executive Pastry Chef. He had previously served as Executive Pastry Chef at the Rustic Pan in Mexico City.

Benoit Boissarie has been named Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen. He had previously held food and beverage roles at Amanpuri, the One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai and Amankora.

 

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Anthony McHale has been named General Manager of the Burj al Arab Jumeirah. For five years, he had served as General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London. McHale is the former General Manager of Keswick Hall in Charlottesville and the Windsor Court in New Orleans. He had previously served as Hotel Manager at the Hotel Bel-Air.

David Mansfield has been named Area Director and General Manager for the Grand Hyatt Dubai. He was most recently in similar post for the Grand Hyatt Mumbai. He is the former General Manager for the Grand Hyatt Melbourne and the Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort.

Ahmed Abdouneuer has been named General Manager at Steigenberger Hotel Cecilin Alexandria in Egypt scheduled to open in 2016. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hotel Iberotel Club Fanara & Residence in Sharm El Sheikh.

Dieter Franke has been appointed General Manager at the InterContinental Nairobi. He was most recently with the InterContinental Abu Dhabi as General Manager.

Ivor Prestwood takes over from Dieter Franke as General Manager at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi. Prestwood was most recently the General Manager at the Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi.

Joe Batshoun has been appointed General Manager at the ART Rotana Amwaj Islands in Bahrain. He is the former opening General Manager at the Yas Island Rotana and Centro Yas Island Abu Dhabi. Batshoun had previously served as Area General Manager for the JW Marriott Houston.

Mark Sterner has been appointed Hotel Manager at the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi taking over from Oliver Bruns. Sterner was most recently with the Viceroy Maldives as General Manager.

Ghyath Fawaz has been appointed Hotel Manager at the Nour Arjaan by Rotana – Fujairah. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager at the Park Rotana Abu Dhabi.

Slim Zaiane has been appointed Resident Manager at the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. He is the former Executive Assistant Manager at Al Bustan Rotana Dubai and had previously overseen food and beverage at the Hilton London Metropole.

Patrice Cornee has been appointed Resident Manager at the Art Rotana Amwaj Islands in Bahrain. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage for the Shangri-La and Traders Hotels Abu Dhabi.

Gerard Moutou has been named Resident Manager for the Radisson Blu Kuwait. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager for the Radisson Blu Dubai Creek. He is the former Complex Director of Food and Beverage for the Radisson Blu Resort and Park Inn Djerba.

Kalpesh Tana has been appointed Vice President, General Counsel, Middle East, Africa & India, at FRHI Hotels & Resorts in Dubai. He was most recently with the law firm Osborne Clarke.

Oliver Bruns has been named Hospitality Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Council. He was most recently serving as Hotel Manager at the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi.

Eric Pellen has been named Executive Chef at the Four Seasons Alexandria at San Stefano. He was most recently serving as Executive Chef for the Four Seasons Jakarta. He is the former Executive Sous Chef at the St. Regis Doha and the Al Bustan Palace.

Ansgar Werneke has been appointed Executive Chef at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Dubai. He was most recently the Executive Sous Chef at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. He is the former Chef de Cuisine for the Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Sous Chef at Burj Al Arab.

Layne Nguyen has been appointed General Manager at Nobu Doha in the Four Seasons Doha. He was most recently at the Nobu San Diego as Assistant General Manager and started out at the Nobu Dallas in 2006.
